Yingyu Ren

Collaborative Pianist | Piano Educator | Founder of Triplet Arts Institute

Yingyu Ren is an internationally trained collaborative pianist and piano educator dedicated to creating meaningful and inspiring musical experiences for students of all ages. Her work centers on musical collaboration, expressive playing, and helping students develop a deep and lasting connection with music.

Originally trained in China, Ms. Ren earned her Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance from the Xinghai Conservatory of Music before continuing her studies in the United States at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, where she received both a Master of Music and a Graduate Performance Diploma in Collaborative Piano. During her studies, she served as a Fellowship Accompanist and worked extensively with vocalists, instrumentalists, and chamber ensembles, developing a strong foundation in musical partnership and ensemble performance.

 

As a collaborative pianist, Ms. Ren believes that piano playing extends beyond individual technique. Her artistic approach emphasizes listening, communication, and musical storytelling, encouraging students to understand music as a shared and expressive art form. Her performance experience includes chamber music, vocal collaboration, and contemporary repertoire, with appearances at venues such as the Shalin Liu Performance Center and Steinert & Sons.

 

In teaching, Ms. Ren focuses on building strong technical foundations while nurturing creativity, confidence, and musical curiosity. She works closely with each student’s individual learning style, helping young musicians develop healthy technique, artistic sensitivity, and long-term enjoyment of music. Her goal is not only to prepare students for performances and examinations, but to help them become lifelong musicians.

As the founder of Triplet Arts Institute, Ms. Ren’s vision is to create a modern music education environment that combines artistic excellence with creativity and collaboration. The institute aims to provide students and families with a supportive and inspiring space where musical growth and personal expression can flourish together.

Olivia (Xuanyu) Ou
Piano

Olivia is a dedicated and passionate pianist with a profound commitment to both performance and teaching. Her journey in music has been shaped by years of rigorous training, notable achievements, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. 

Olivia has been studied piano for over 20 years and has been worked as a piano teacher for 10 years. She is completing her Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Piano Performance at Boston University, where she also had her Master of Music (MMus). Notably, she won The 2nd Prize of the 2nd American Classical Pianist International Piano Competition, The 2 nd Prize of Zhujiang-Kayserburg Scholarship Competition, The Champion in Macao Piano Competition, Guangzhou Area, The Merit Student of XHCOM 2, The 3 rd Prize of Comprehensive Scholarship, The Finalist in Yangtze River Piano National Competition and the College Excellent Students Award in the 1st American Classical Pianist International Piano Competition and so on. During the time at Boston University, She has received Honorable Mention in Richmond Piano competition.

Her teaching experience is also extensive and diverse. At Boston University, she worked as a Teaching Assistant, where she led group piano lessons for both undergraduate and graduate students across various majors. Additionally, she worked as a piano teacher at Foshan Nanshanhu Experimental High School, providing individual piano lessons to high school students.

Lin Gong
Voice/Beginning piano

Lin Gong is an accomplished soprano active in the Greater Wshington, D.C. and Greater Boston areas, with extensive training in both vocal and piano performance. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance from The Catholic University of America. She also earned a Master of Music degree from the Longy School of Music of Bard College. With a passion for music that began at a young age, Ms. Gong loves sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with her students. She believes that music has the unique power to connect people and cultures.


Ms. Gong has performed internationally, with notable appearances in China, Singapore, and the United States. Her standout roles include Romilda in Serse, Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro, Mimi in La Bohème and Madame Lidoine in Dialogue of the Caramalites.

As an educator, she is dedicated to creating a learning environment where music is both enjoyable and engaging. Her teaching approach emphasizes helping students learn music they are passionate about, while also building a strong foundation in fundamental concepts and developing healthy technique.
